This Privacy Policy outlines our data handling practices, our zero-retention edge streaming architecture, our use of cookies, and your legal rights under international data protection laws, including the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA).
2. Information We Do Not Collect (Zero-Log Architecture)
Unlike conventional web services, GDown does not require account registration, usernames, passwords, credit card information, or phone numbers. We enforce strict data minimization:
- No User Account Database: We do not operate or maintain a database of personal accounts.
- Zero Media Storage: Videos, audio tracks, and images processed through our edge gateway are streamed directly in-memory from CDN origins to your client browser. We never persist or archive copies of media files on our servers.
- Local Storage Only: Download history is stored strictly within your browser's local sandbox (
localStorage) and is never transmitted to or accessible by our backend servers. You may purge this history at any time with a single click.
3. Google AdSense & Advertising Cookies
We use Google AdSense and third-party advertising vendors to serve advertisements when you visit our website. These companies may use cookies and web beacons to collect non-personally identifiable information (such as your browser type, device category, IP address, and clickstream data) to provide targeted advertisements about goods and services of interest to you.
Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on gdown.xyz. Google's use of the DoubleClick DART cookie enables it to serve ads to users based on their visit to our site and other sites on the Internet.
